Performance Baseball 14U vs Bluefish Travel 15U Gray – Game 2- June 7, 2025
Bluefish Travel 15U Gray got on the board in the top of the second inning after Jack Thomas Wiltsie walked, and Robert Taylor singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Performance Baseball 14U tied the game in the bottom of the third thanks to a single by Damion Montillas, and a hit by a pitch.
In the top of the fourth inning, Bluefish Travel 15U Gray went back into the lead after Eric Veloz singled to center field, Wiltsie singled down the right field line, Taylor singled to left field, Myles Lawrence walked, Xavier Ramos walked, Taylor stole home, and Lorenzo Flores singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
Wiltsie earned the win for Bluefish Travel 15U Gray. The pitcher allowed one hit and two runs (zero earned) over one inning, striking out two and walking two. Mike Schirizzo took the loss for Performance Baseball 14U. The pitcher went three and one-third innings, giving up seven runs (six earned) on five hits, striking out two and walking five. Ramos started on the mound for Bluefish Travel 15U Gray. The righty surrendered one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking three.
Montillas and Jonathan Slane each collected one hit for Performance Baseball 14U. Montillas and Joey Affinito each drove in one run for Performance Baseball 14U. Performance Baseball 14U turned one double play in the game.
Wiltsie and Taylor were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Bluefish Travel 15U Gray. Taylor went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Bluefish Travel 15U Gray in hits. Bluefish Travel 15U Gray had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game.
Performance Baseball 14U will travel to Canes Tri-State 14U for their next game on Sunday.
