Jonathan Slane Leads Performance Baseball 14U Past Capitals Winn 14U July 9, 2025

Jonathan Slane collected three hits in three at bats, as Performance Baseball 14U defeated Capitals Winn 14U 14U 10-8 on Wednesday. Slane doubled in the seventh inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

Performance Baseball 14U got on the board in the top of the second inning after #5 induced Gavin Eddy to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Joey Affinito singled, scoring two runs, and Slane singled, scoring one run.

Capitals Winn 14U 14U captured the lead, 6-5, in the bottom of the fifth after Vinny Schiavone singled to center field, #2 singled down the right field line, #5 lined out, and Gian Lo Schiavo doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Damion Montillas walked, which helped Performance Baseball 14U tie the game at six in the top of the sixth.

An error gave Capitals Winn 14U 14U the lead, 7-6, in the bottom of the sixth.

Performance Baseball 14U made the score 10-7 in the top of the seventh after a wild pitch scored one run, Slane doubled, scoring two runs, and Drew Anderson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Anderson began the game for Performance Baseball 14U. The right-handed pitcher surrendered seven hits and six runs over four innings, striking out one and walking three. #5 opened the game for Capitals Winn 14U 14U. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and four runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking two. Justin Semrau appeared in relief for Performance Baseball 14U.
