Performance Baseball 14U rallied to best Ct Crush Blue 12-6 on Monday. Performance Baseball 14U trailed by as many as four runs during the game.
Performance Baseball 14U scored eight runs in the fifth inning on the way to victory. Damion Montillas singled, scoring one run, Pj Finch singled, scoring one run, Joey Affinito singled, scoring one run, Josue Almonte singled, scoring one run, Justin Semrau hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Mike Schirizzo drew a walk, scoring one run, Gavin Eddy singled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run.
Performance Baseball 14U got on the board in the first inning after a steal of home scored one run.
Ct Crush Blue took the lead in the bottom of the first. #9 doubled, scoring two runs, to give Ct Crush Blue the lead, 2-1.
Ct Crush Blue added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after #99 walked, #24 walked, and #42 was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.
Montillas stepped on the hill first for Performance Baseball 14U. The starter allowed four hits and five runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking six. #34 started on the bump for Ct Crush Blue. The starting pitcher allowed nine hits and four runs over four innings, striking out two and walking three. Semrau appeared in relief for Performance Baseball 14U.
Performance Baseball 14U amassed 17 hits in the game. Montillas drove the middle of the lineup, leading Performance Baseball 14U with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Eddy and Affinito each collected three hits for Performance Baseball 14U.
