Performance Baseball 14U’s Late Push Leads To Victory Over LevelUp Prospects Elite – July 26, 2025

Performance Baseball 14U defeated LevelUp Prospects Elite 5-4 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. Performance Baseball 14U were down 4-1 in the top of the seventh inning when Damion Montillas tripled, scoring four runs.

LevelUp Prospects Elite were the first to get on the board in the first when #79 hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

LevelUp Prospects Elite committed an error, which helped Performance Baseball 14U tie the game at one in the top of the second.

LevelUp Prospects Elite took the lead in the bottom of the second. An error scored one run, to give LevelUp Prospects Elite the edge, 2-1.

LevelUp Prospects Elite added one run in the third after #9 grounded out.

Ryan Farina earned the win for Performance Baseball 14U. The righty gave up zero hits and zero runs over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking none. #79 took the loss for LevelUp Prospects Elite. The reliever went two-thirds of an inning, giving up four runs on one hit, striking out one and walking four. Mike Schirizzo started the game for Performance Baseball 14U. The starter surrendered two hits and three runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking two. #11 stepped on the bump first for LevelUp Prospects Elite. The pitcher gave up three hits and one run (zero earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking seven. Montillas appeared in relief for Performance Baseball 14U.

Montillas, Drew Anderson, Jonathan Slane, and Joey Affinito each collected one hit for Performance Baseball 14U. Montillas led Performance Baseball 14U with three runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-4 on the day. Performance Baseball 14U had patience at the plate, collecting 11 walks for the game. Josue Almonte, Luca D’Andrea, and Niko Pellegrino led the team with two walks each. Pj Finch stole two bases.

#9 and #79 were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for LevelUp Prospects Elite. #11, #9, and #3 each collected one hit for LevelUp Prospects Elite.

Performance Baseball 14U will travel to War at the Shore Tournament for their next game on Friday.
