Grays 1 jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Galarza doubled, scoring two runs, and Silas Turner grounded out, scoring one run.
Grays 1 added one run in the third after Turner singled down the right field line.
Coca led things off on the bump for Grays 1. The starter gave up one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out eight and walking four. Nicco Aitken stepped on the bump first for New London Babe Ruth 14u Gold. The pitcher gave up eight hits and 10 runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking six.
Galarza provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Grays 1 with three runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-2 on the day. Galarza and Coca each collected two hits for Grays 1. Coca and Carmelo Ramos each stole multiple bases for Grays 1. Grays 1 had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Grays 1 stole 10 bases in the game. Grays 1 turned one double play in the game.
Zander Bubie went 1-for-1 at the plate to lead New London Babe Ruth 14u Gold in hits.
