Drew Anderson threw a shutout to lead Performance Baseball 14U past CT Sharks 14u 6-0 on Thursday at Nathan Hale Middle School.
Damion Montillas collected three hits in four at bats in the win. Montillas singled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the sixth inning.
Performance Baseball 14U got on the board in the first inning after an error scored one run.
#8 took the loss for CT Sharks 14u. The pitcher went six innings, allowing six runs (four earned) on nine hits, striking out one and walking three.
Luca D’Andrea went 1-for-1 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Joey Affinito collected two hits for Performance Baseball 14U in three at bats. Montillas stole three bases. Performance Baseball 14U stole six bases in the game. Performance Baseball 14U didn’t commit a single error in the field. Ryan Farina had the most chances in the field with 16.
#12 and #8 each collected one hit for CT Sharks 14u. #8 stole two bases.
Performance Baseball 14U will travel to Firecracker Colonial Clash for their next game on Friday.
