Performance Baseball 14U Come Back To Defeat Glastonbury American Legion 15U – July 20, 2025

Performance Baseball 14U trailed by as many as six, but came back to best Glastonbury American Legion 15U on Sunday at 80 Chester St, 9-8.

Performance Baseball 14U didn’t take the lead until later in the game. Performance Baseball 14U were down 8-7 in the bottom of the sixth inning when an error scored two runs.

Glastonbury American Legion 15U got on the board in the top of the first inning after John Robertson19 hit a sacrifice fly, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, and an error scored one run.

Glastonbury American Legion 15U added to their early lead in the top of the second inning when Andrew Papetti hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.

Performance Baseball 14U flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the sixth, scoring seven runs on four hits to take the lead, 9-8. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Pj Finch that drove in two.

Damion Montillas earned the win for Performance Baseball 14U. The hurler allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out five and walking none. Papetti took the loss for Glastonbury American Legion 15U. The hurler went one inning, allowing five runs (three earned) on three hits, striking out one and walking two. Justin Semrau began the game for Performance Baseball 14U. The hurler allowed two hits and seven runs (two earned) over two innings, striking out one and walking four. Noah DiSanto started the game for Glastonbury American Legion 15U. The lefty gave up six hits and four runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking four.

Montillas and Joey Affinito each collected two hits for Performance Baseball 14U. Finch and Montillas each drove in two runs for Performance Baseball 14U. Gavin Eddy and Montillas each stole multiple bases for Performance Baseball 14U. Performance Baseball 14U had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Performance Baseball 14U turned two double plays in the game.

Robertson19 provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Glastonbury American Legion 15U with two runs batted in. The right fielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Kai Scott, Tommy Gibson, James Robertson9, Robertson19, and Cooper Jankowski each collected one hit for Glastonbury American Legion 15U. Colin Johnson stole two bases.
