Performance Baseball 14U easily dispatched Rams Baseball on Sunday, 9-3.
Performance Baseball 14U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Damion Montillas singled down the left field line, Pj Finch singled to center field, Justin Semrau grounded out, and Mike Schirizzo was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.
Josue Almonte earned the win for Performance Baseball 14U. The hurler gave up five hits and three runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out five and walking five. #9 took the loss for Rams Baseball . The starting pitcher went one inning, giving up four runs on three hits, striking out one and walking three.
Finch, Semrau, Montillas, Luca D’Andrea, Matt Perrotti, and Jonathan Slane each drove in one run for Performance Baseball 14U. Gavin Eddy paced Performance Baseball 14U with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Finch, Eddy, and Drew Anderson each stole multiple bases for Performance Baseball 14U. Performance Baseball 14U stole 12 bases in the game. Performance Baseball 14U turned two double plays in the game.
